Member Spotlight: Leah Tennille - Eleanor's Place
Meet Leah Tennille: Our April 2021 Member Spotlight.
Leah is the President/Owner of Strategic Funding Group— a full-service grant consulting firm providing strategic guidance and grant writing to non-profits and local governments across the country. She oversees a staff of three employees and ten contract grant writers. Last year, they secured about $72 million in grant funding for our clients. She’s married to Dre and is mom to three kids—Townsend (7), Bode (3) and Tapley (17 months).
Service work feeds her soul! Leah currently serve on the Board of Trustees of Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia, the Vestry and Mission/Outreach Committee at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church and the Board of the Atlanta Police Athletic League.
She has too many favorite female role models to list—Stacey Abrams, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Dr. Catherine Meeks to name a few, and her favorite quote is, “To serve, you only need a heart full of grace and a soul generated by love.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.
“I might be Eleanor’s Place’s biggest fan! I love absolutely everything about it—from the amazing coffee to the impeccable décor. EP has been a lifesaver during the pandemic– I am grateful for a place to clear my head and knock out both work and personal tasks. Most of all, I’ve loved getting to know a whole new community of amazing and inspiring women.“
